FAQs
Are your ceramics food safe?
Yes. All glazed interiors are non-toxic and food-safe, suitable for everyday use with food and beverages. Each piece is made with care to ensure functionality and safety while preserving its natural, handcrafted feel.
Can I use your ceramics in the dishwasher or microwave?
Our ceramics are dishwasher safe, but we highly recommend hand washing with mild detergent and warm water to extend their life and protect their finish.
Please note that our pieces are not microwave or oven-safe, as handmade ceramics can be sensitive to sudden temperature changes.
Why does my piece look slightly different from the one in the photo?
Each piece is handcrafted and thrown on a potter’s wheel. Variations in shape, glaze tone, and texture are intentional — they’re part of what makes every object unique. No two pieces will ever be exactly the same, and that individuality is part of their beauty.
Are your products watertight?
Yes, all vases and bottles have glazed interiors and are watertight under normal use. However, we recommend placing them on a protective surface to prevent possible moisture marks on furniture.
Do you take custom orders or commissions?
From time to time, we accept custom or small-batch commissions, depending on studio capacity. Feel free to get in touch via the Contact page with your ideas, and we’ll let you know what’s possible.
Where are your ceramics made?
Every piece is handmade in our New Zealand studio, crafted in small batches to ensure quality, care, and individuality.
How do I care for my pieces?
Please visit our Product Care page for full guidance. In short: handle with care, hand wash where possible, and avoid sudden temperature changes. With gentle use, your piece will last for years — ageing beautifully with time.
Do you ship nationally and/or internationally?
Please refer to our Shipping and Handling page for postage logistics and information. We do our best to ensure that all pieces are carefully packaged so that your items arrive safely.
