Because of this process, no two pieces are ever the same. Subtle variations in form, tone, and surface are a hallmark of authenticity and the heart of our company ethos.
Below are a few simple guidelines to help you care for your pieces and ensure their longevity.
General Care:
All pieces are individually handcrafted, and slight variations are to be expected — they make each piece truly one of a kind.
The interior surfaces of functional ware (cups, bowls, jars, and bottles) are glazed and food-safe.
While our ceramics are dishwasher safe, we highly recommend hand washing with mild detergent and warm water to protect the glaze and preserve the natural texture of the raw exterior.
Avoid using abrasive cleaners or harsh scrubbing tools, as they can dull the finish or damage the surface.
Do not use in the microwave, oven, or freezer, as sudden temperature changes can cause cracking or warping.
Storage and Use:
When stacking or storing pieces, place a soft cloth or felt pad between them to prevent scratching.
For vases and bottles, ensure the base is placed on a non-porous or protective surface to prevent potential moisture marks on furniture.
Handle with care — handmade ceramics are strong but not indestructible, and small knocks or drops can cause chipping.
Avoid prolonged storage of liquids, oils, or acidic foods in unglazed or partially glazed pieces, as these can affect the clay’s natural surface over time.
